The beautiful ski area around Obervellach, the Mölltaler Gletscher, is one of the most snow secure ski areas in Austria: there is excellent skiing for eleven months of the year. The area is located high on a glacier and has snow of such quality that most renowned top teams train there. And do you want something different? Around Obervellach there are several ski areas so that you can, if you wish, go to another area every day.
Of course there is enough time and opportunity to recover from all the impressions and adventures. Enjoy small-scale après-ski in the Lärchen Stube with phenomenal views over the valley and the village of Obervellach. You can also enjoy lunch or dinner at neighboring Farmer Hans, with purely local products, handmade. Near Obervellach in Mallnitz is one of the longest natural toboggan runs in Austria. Here you can toboggan down a natural toboggan run for six kilometres. The journey ends at the authentic Stockerhütte where you can enjoy a farm buffet consisting of all natural and local products.
